What DID I do today?

Hubby let me sleep in, bless his heart! I got up at 8:30 not really knowing which end was up. So, whatever was on my list of things to do today did NOT get done, or did it? I'm not sure.

For quite a while I was sure I hadn't gotten a thing done today. So, I went around taking pictures of all the stuff I did do, but had forgotten I'd done. It turns out I got a lot done, but simply have no brain. In other words, life as usual.

I replaced the deadbolt on the front door. This involved getting a ride from Alyssa to the lock shop, which is hit or miss on whether it would be open. Once I'd showed him our 93 year old lock and bought a replacement, it took an hour and a half of drilling new holes, chiseling new holes, lining things up just right, and mounting the thing on the door. Now, the key works! Amazing!

Boxing up Little Mister's school supplies to send back to the K12 people, I discovered that the only boxes I had to use for the task were diaper boxes. Bet it's not the first time they have seen those!

Coming back from a trip usually means the laundry takes over my life for a while.

Phone calls, emails, more phone calls, more emails... Trying to get ahold of Princess Abi's teachers for next year in order that her braille materials come on time has been frustrating to put it mildly.

More phone calls and emails. Playing the Suzuki CD for Abi, because this afternoon is a studio recital.

Alyssa and I both needed to go to the bank. Well, we actually needed to go to the bank last Thursday, but  in a weird fluke, every bank in town was down due to a fiber optic cable being cut.  Oops!

Oddly, a part of my morning was spent trying not to listen to Abi recite Finding Nemo from memory for the 1,311th time.

When in doubt, blog.

Without warning, the Braille teacher came to the house this afternoon to do an assessment on Abi, a meeting I have been trying to set up since February. Since Friday is the last day it would happen, I was actually thrilled, even though he caught Abi in her pajamas!
A lot of important tasks got taken care of today. Why do I still feel like I'm spinning in circles??

Kindergarten Graduation

Little Mister's the right age to graduate from Kindergarten. Just because he's working in second and third grade curriculum is no reason to skip the milestone of graduating Kindergarten! At least, the excuse to have a party and celebrate a great kid!

A rare capture of Daddy being a goof. The goof part isn't rare. Capturing it is.
