Adorably Clever

I have to brag once again on Teacher Marnie. She's been adapting Abi's coloring sheets with puffy paint, and Abi has done fantastic with learning to color inside the lines.

With this little crafty book, however, the simple tactile additions she made were especially wonderful, particularly the last page where a photo of Abi received yarn hair and yellow beads! If that's not a perfect way to help Abi recognize a picture of herself, I don't know what is!

The little book made us all smile, because it's just so right. :)

Cover of a little booklet, titled "What does a pet need most of all?"

A pet needs water. Water is a piece of crinkly blue plastic glued on the paper, and the hamster's face is outlined in puffy paint.

A pet needs food. The kitty's face is outlined, and the pieces of food are glued onto the dish.
A pet needs a home. Craft sticks outline the roof of the dog's house.

A pet needs love. Soft feathers and a foam heart decorate this page, with the picture of a little boy holding his pets.
A pet needs you most of all! A photocopied picture of Abi has her glasses outlined, and little pieces of yarn with beads glued on her hair.
