Two Prayer Requests

I have two prayer requests for you all.  The first is, my mom has a big blood clot in her leg, which is painful and dangerous, and she is pretty much confined to bed/recliner until it either dissolves or stabilizes. Please pray for her healing. She's under good medical care and taking Lovenox and then Coumodin.

The other is that we saw Abi's ophthalmologist today and it turns out the blood in her eye has not been reabsorbed at all, and he's recommending surgery by a specialist in Portland. We hadn't planned to do more surgery, but he says if they don't do something about this, she'll lose her eye.

The fact that the blood has not been reabsorbed means her eye is not functioning (producing-recycling-draining fluid) at all. This is NOT good news. We also don't know if that eye has any sight in it. If it does, it is worth fighting to save the eye.  If it doesn't, a prosthetic eye in the future would not be a big change for her.  We need to know.

In order to do this, we'll need to head to the Casey Eye Institute in Portland.  We'd planned to vacation in Portland later this summer, but a surgery would really dampen the mood of the holiday, especially for me, so we'd like to keep the trips separate, if possible.

Please pray for the logistics of this, and if anyone has ideas or can help, I'd be grateful! I don't know if Hubby will need to take more time off work, or if I'll need to get over there somehow if he needs to work, or how to watch the other kids or whether our insurance will cover all of it, or how we'll do trip expenses... but God knows! I trust Him completely.

Still, all of this is tough, so I'd appreciate prayers.
