Last night, our favorite coffee shop, which is modeled after an Irish pub gleefully celebrated St. Patrick's Day with Irish music, shamrock cookies and Guinness.
We went as a family and played a rousing game of Yahtzee at one of the big back tables. Since the pub was packed, we ended up sharing the table with the owner and her family.
I had an Irish Cream latte, Hubby had a Guinness and the kids had big cookies with shamrocks on them.
Later in the evening, as the music got wilder, they had Irish dancing on the 100-year-old table and a round-house out on the sidewalk in front of the pub! One of the reasons we love living here!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from our family to yours! I'll leave you with Grandpa Wally's favorite Old Irish Blessing: May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back. May the sin shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields and may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
