I'm sitting here eating a bowl of rice, while I like, but it got me thinking about dieting. I think it's a subject everyone thinks about at one time or another, but it's not much fun. I just tried which I found on the Cheerios box and I love it. It has some great tools. Slim Fast's site does too.

Really, it's just a matter of calories in/calories out, but today I've had the flu and I definitely did not burn more calories that I ate. Bummer.

I might post more later, but for now, on to more exciting things. :)

Tater Tot goes home for Christmas

Praise the Lord! Our foster Bichon, Tater Tot has a forever home! We got her in August from a seattle kill shelter. She had been returned to the shelter and labelled "unadoptable", thus putting her on the list to be euthanized. Before the shelter put her down, though, they called Small Paws Rescue. One of our Seattle volunteers picked her up and a week later met me halfway across Washington state so I could take her home and foster her until she found a home. I found that she was a loving, sweet, good tempered dog and I could not believe she was just hours away from death.

Now this week, the story finds a happy ending for me and a happy beginning for Tater Tot. She will go to live with a family in OR who has and elderly lady living with them. She will be a companion and get all the love and pampering and spoiling that her little Bichonly heart desires. But she will also be able to give love to a lady who needs some. I am so happy. It could not have worked out any better. It's so amazing to be part of a team like this who takes dogs from death to life.

Important Matters

Going with Daddy, Curly learns about scones and bookstores. Very important.

Standing, but not quite taking steps yet.
